ભારતીય રેલવેએ યાત્રીઓના આરામ માટે નવા નિયમો જાહેર કર્યા છે. હવે જનરલ કોચમાં લિમિટેડ ટિકિટ જ મળશે. જોકે આ અંગે વિગતવાર માહિતી અહીં આપવામાં આવી છે.

ભારતીય રેલવે સતત યાત્રીઓને વધુ આરામદાયક મુસાફરીના ઉદ્દેશથી નિયમોમાં ફેરફાર કરી રહી છે. અત્યાર સુધી જનરલ કોચમાં મુસાફરોની ભારે ભીડ એક મોટો પ્રશ્ન રહી છે, જ્યાં માત્ર 75 થી 80 બેઠકો હોવા છતાં 400થી વધુ મુસાફરો મુસાફરી કરતા હતાં. હવે રેલવેએ આ પરિસ્થિતિને સુધારવા માટે નવી પદ્ધતિ અમલમાં મૂકી છે.

નવી પાઇલટ યોજના અનુસાર હવે અનારક્ષિત એટલે કે જનરલ કોચ માટે ફક્ત 150 ટિકિટ જ જાહેર કરવામાં આવશે. હાલમાં આ નવી વ્યવસ્થા નવી દિલ્હી રેલવે સ્ટેશન પર અજમાવવામાં આવી રહી છે. જો આ સફળ રહે તો દેશભરમાં આ નિયમ લાગુ કરવામાં આવશે.

પ્રારંભિક સ્ટેશન પરથી માત્ર 150 ટિકિટ જ મળશે અને ટ્રેનના માર્ગમાં આવતાં સ્ટેશનો પર કુલ ક્ષમતા પ્રમાણે 20 ટકા ટિકિટ જ જાહેર કરવામાં આવશે.

નવા નિયમો હેઠળ હવે એસી કોચ માટે માત્ર 60% અને સ્લીપર કોચ માટે 30% બેઠકોના આધારે જ વેટિંગ ટિકિટ આપવામાં આવશે. આ પગલાં ટ્રેન અને પ્લેટફોર્મ પરની ભીડ ઘટાડવામાં મદદરૂપ બનશે.

15 જુલાઈથી તત્કાલ ટિકિટ બુક કરવા માટે આધારકાર્ડ સાથે જોડાયેલ મોબાઇલ નંબર પર મળતાં ઓટીપીની જરૂર પડશે. ઓટીપી દાખલ કર્યા પછી જ ટિકિટ બુકિંગ પૂર્ણ થશે

According to a statement issued by the ministry, CCTV cameras will also be installed near the doors to ensure the privacy of passengers.

Where will the cameras be installed in the train? A total of 4 CCTV cameras will be installed in the passenger coaches. Out of which 2 cameras will be installed at the entry of each door. 6 CCTV cameras will be installed in each engine. In which one CCTV camera will be installed on both the front and back sides of an engine.

Indian Railway Recruitment Latest News : Railway Board has instructed General Managers of all Zonal Railways to complete driver recruitment process within a week, this decision will reduce the burden on over duty drivers and reduce accidents due to human error (drivers).

Indian Railway Recruitment: On Monday, the day after the Kanchenjunga train accident in West Bengal, the Railway Board has announced orders for the recruitment of 18,799 assistant pilots (drivers) with immediate effect. The Railway Board has instructed the General Managers of all Zonal Railways to complete the driver recruitment process within a week. This decision of Railways will reduce the burden on over duty drivers and reduce accidents due to human error (drivers).

Railway Recruitment Board Director-Establishment Vidyadhar Sharma announced these orders late on Tuesday evening. The order mentions that 5696 Assistant Loco Pilot (ALP) posts have been approved for recruitment on 15 December 2023. But additional recruitment of ALP was demanded from 16 zonal railways. After reviewing it, the Railway Board has now decided to recruit 18,799 ALPs.

Along with this it said that Indian Railway Recruitment Management System (OIRMS) will complete the recruitment process of ALP within a week with the help of Railway Recruitment Board, Bangalore. It is to be noted that the posts of drivers have been vacant in the railways for a long time. A senior official said that the Railway Board has fixed the duty of drivers to run trains for nine hours. But due to shortage, more than 31 percent drivers have to run trains for 10-12 hours. Eight percent of these drivers are running trains for more than 12 to 16 hours.

Drivers doing duty beyond the prescribed hours

As per the Railway Board's Safety Information Management System (SIMS) for the financial year 2021-22, drivers perform duties beyond the stipulated hours. In Indian Railways, 68.1 percent of railway drivers drive trains for up to nine hours. While 17.2 percent drivers drove the train for nine to 11 hours, 6.2 percent for 11 to 12 hours and eight percent drivers for more than 12 hours. As a rule, the driver cannot leave the engine until the train reaches its destination. A driver may have to work 16 to 18 hours or more.

Drivers suffer from fatigue and insomnia

Drivers do not get enough sleep due to longer duty hours and not getting enough rest. It increases fatigue, insomnia and mental stress. Due to which the drivers cannot drive the train with concentration. There is no lunch-dinner or toilet facility for the drivers.

According to beliefs, Lord Vishnu incarnated as a dwarf to crush the ego of King Bali. Meanwhile, King Bali asked Lord Vishnu to promise to make him his gatekeeper. A legend is connected with this temple. It is said that the dwarf avatar of Lord Vishnu got salvation here. People make prasad near the temple, for which butter is also brought from every house. After the Prasad is prepared, it is offered to Lord Vishnu.

This temple is 12 km away from Urgam village. One has to walk some kilometers to reach here. If you are going by train then you have to get down at Haridwar Rishikesh railway station. Distance from Rishikesh to Joshimath by road is about 225 kms. The valley is 10 km from Joshimath and from here you can reach Urgam village. After this the road has to be covered on foot.

It is not clear whether the petroleum ministry will seek cabinet approval to implement the recommendations of the energy transition advisory committee headed by former oil secretary Tarun Kapoor.

To promote the use of electric vehicles in the country, the report said the government should look at 'targeted extension' of incentives offered under the Faster Adoption and Manufacturing of Electric and Hybrid Vehicles Scheme (FAME) after March 31. Diesel accounts for about two-fifths of India's refined fuel consumption, of which 80 percent is used in the transport sector.

The panel has said that only electric vehicles should be allowed to register from 2024, and has suggested more use of railways and gas-powered trucks for cargo movement. The railway network is expected to be fully electric in two to three years. India aims to increase the share of gas in its energy mix from 6.2 percent currently to 15 percent by 2030.
