Where is this temple located?

We are talking about the Vanshinarayan temple in Chamoli district of Uttarakhand. To go here one has to go to Urgam Valley of Chamoli. This temple is dedicated to Lord Vishnu, hence its name as Vanshinarayana Temple. The local people also know the temple as Vanshinarayana. The temple also houses idols of Lord Shiva, Ganesha and Vana Devi.

This temple opens only on Rakshabandhan

It is believed that the gates of the temple remain closed throughout the year and are opened only on the day of Rakhi. On the day of Rakshabandhan, local people clean the temple and offer prayers. It is said that local people also celebrate Rakhi festival here. Before celebrating the festival, people worship in the temple.

According to beliefs, Lord Vishnu incarnated as a dwarf to crush the ego of King Bali. Meanwhile, King Bali asked Lord Vishnu to promise to make him his gatekeeper. Mother Lakshmi wanted to bring him back and so Narada Muni gave him the remedy of tying a protective rope to King Bali. The festival of Rakshabandhan was celebrated ever since the mother stayed here in a remote valley.

Butter Prasad

A legend is connected with this temple. It is said that the dwarf avatar of Lord Vishnu got salvation here. People make prasad near the temple, for which butter is also brought from every house. After the Prasad is prepared, it is offered to Lord Vishnu.

In this way you can reach the temple

This temple is 12 km away from Urgam village. One has to walk some kilometers to reach here. If you are going by train then you have to get down at Haridwar Rishikesh railway station. Distance from Rishikesh to Joshimath by road is about 225 kms. The valley is 10 km from Joshimath and from here you can reach Urgam village. After this the road has to be covered on foot.

You can prepare master list by logging into IRCTC website or app. In this list you have to fill the age, name, address, where to go, ID proof etc. of all those people. - After this you have to click on 'Submit' button.

- At the time of instant booking, you can select the train instantly and click on 'My Passenger List'.

- With this, all your details will be automatically fetched in 1 second.

Then select one of the payment options and make the payment

ઇન્દિરા ગાંધી રાષ્ટ્રીય વૃદ્વ પેન્શન યોજના

ઇન્દિરા ગાંધી રાષ્ટ્રીય વૃદ્વ પેન્શન યોજનાનો મુખ્ય ઉદ્દેશ રાજ્યના વૃદ્ધ લોકોને આર્થિક મદદ આપવી છે. વૃદ્ધ ને પોતાનું જીવન જીવવા માટે બીજાના સહારે રહેવું પડે છે. ગુજરાત વૃદ્ધાશ્રમ પેન્શન યોજનાનો લાભ એવા વૃદ્ધ ને મળશે જેની કોઈ પણ પ્રકારની (Income) આવક ન હોય તેવા નિરાધાર છે. આવકના અભાવે આ લોકોની આર્થિક સ્થિતિ નબળી પડી જાય છે. તેથી, ગુજરાત સરકારે આ સ્કીમ શરૂ કરી છે જેથી વધુમાં વધુ વૃદ્ધ લોકોને આ યોજનાનો લાભ મળે.

ગ્રામિણ વિકાસ મંત્રાલય ધ્વારા આ યોજનાની શરૂઆત કરવામાં આવેલ છે. જેના અંતર્ગત 60 વર્ષ કે તેથી ઉપરના (વર્ષ-2011 માં સુધારેલી વયમર્યાદા મુજબ 65 વર્ષ ) અને ગરીબી રેખા નીચે હોય તથા ભારત સરકારશ્રીના સમયાનુસાર સુધારેલા ધારા-ધોરણો મુજબ લાયકાત ધરાવતાં હોય તેવા લાભાર્થિઓ માટે છે. Gujarat Vridha Pension Yojana આ યોજના રાષ્ટ્રીય સામાજિક સહાય કાર્યક્રમના ભાગરૂપે ચલવવામાં આવે છે.

ગુજરાત પેન્શન યોજના માટેની પાત્રતા

• અરજદાર ગુજરાત રાજ્યનો રહેવાસી હોવો જોઈએ.
• ગુજરાત સરકાર વૃદ્ધોને ફક્ત આ સ્કીમ નો લાભ આપવામાં આવશે.
• ફક્ત નિરાધાર વૃદ્ધ વ્યક્તિ જ આ યોજના માટે પાત્ર છે.
• અરજદારની ઉંમર 60 વર્ષ કે તેથી વધુ હોવી જોઈએ.
• ગ્રામીણ વિસ્તારમાં અરજદારની વાર્ષિક આવક રૂપિયા 120000/- થી વધુ ન હોવી જોઈએ અને
• શહેરી વિસ્તારમાં અરજદારની વાર્ષિક આવક 150000/- થી વધુ ન હોવી જોઈએ.

જો કોઈ વૃદ્ધ વ્યક્તિના છોકરાઓ 21 વર્ષથી વધુનો હોય પરંતુ આવક મેળવવામાં અસમર્થ હોય, તો તે વૃદ્ધ વ્યક્તિ પણ આ યોજના માટે પાત્ર માનવામાં આવશે.

જો રાજ્યની વ્યક્તિ 70% કરતા વધુ અપંગ છે અને 45 વર્ષથી વધુ વયની છે, તો આ યોજનાનો લાભ તેમને આપવામાં આવશે.

રાજ્યના વૃદ્ધ પુરુષો અને મહિલાઓ બંનેને ગુજરાત વૃદ્ધાશ્રમ પેન્શન યોજનાનો લાભ આપવામાં આવશે.

ગુજરાત પેન્શન યોજના – લાયકાત

લાભાર્થી પાસે 0-16 આંક દર્શાવતું ગરીબી રેખાનું પ્રમાણપત્ર હોવું જોઇએ.

લાભાર્થી ભારતનો નાગરિક હોવો જોઇએ.

લાભાર્થી 60 વર્ષ કે તેથી વધુ ઉંમર ધરવતો હોવો જોઇએ.

ગુજરાત પેન્શન યોજના – ડોકયુમેન્ટ લીસ્ટ

• 0-16 આંક દર્શાવતું ગરીબી રેખાનું પ્રમાણપત્ર.
• ઘરના સરનામાં નો પુરાવો.
• જન્મ નો દાખલો અથવા ઉંમરનો પુરાવો.
• નાગરિક્ત્વનો પુરાવો.
