Essential Qualification:
Matriculation and 3 years full-time Diploma in Engineering in Mechanical / Metallurgy / Electrical / Instrumentation/ Chemical / Civil/ Ceramics disciplines from a Govt. recognized Institute with minimum 50% marks (40% for SC/ST / PWD / Departmental candidates).

Essential Qualification:
Matriculation and ITI (full time) in Fitter / Electrician / Turner / Welder / Machinist (CNC) trades from Govt. Recognised Institute.
Age Limits: Upper Age in years as on 14/12/2018 - 28 Years. From 18 Years to 30 Years for Junior Manager (Safety) and Operator-cum-Technician (Boiler Operator) Posts, and 18 Years to 28 Years for Operator-cum-Technician (Trainee) Post. The maximum age is relaxable by 5 years for SC/ST candidates, 3 years for OBC candidates and 10 years for PWD candidates for "SAIL Recruitment 2018".

Application Fees:
(i) Candidates belonging to General/OBC category will be required to pay Application Fee Rs.250/- (Rupees Two Hundred & Fifty only) for the post of Operator-cum-Technician (Trainee). SC/ST/PWD/ESM/Departmental candidates are exempted from payment of Application Fee.
Mode of Selection: Eligible candidates will be required to appear in a written examination and on the basis of their performance in the written examination, the candidates shall be called for Trade Test/Skill Test in the ratio of 1:3. Trade Test/Skill Test will be of qualifying in nature. The final merit list will be prepared in descending order separately for each discipline and category on the basis of the total marks obtained in the written test by the candidates who qualify in Trade Test/Skill Test. There shall be 4 stages of Bio-Metric intervention in the entire selection process.
