Education Qualification

The candidate should have completed Full-time Bachelor Degree in Engineering or Technology (B.Tech/ BE/ Equivalent) in Chemical/ Civil/ Electrical/ Mechanical from Institutions/ Colleges/ Universities/ Deemed Universities duly recognized by AICTE/UGC. Candidates have to essentially qualify in the GATE-2020 examination various disciplines in order to be eligible to apply for the advertised posts. GATE marks of previous years (2019 or before) shall not be accepted for IOCL Recruitment 2020 for Engineers (Officers) and Graduate Apprentice Engineers Posts.

Upper Age Limits

Maximum 26 years as on 30th June 2020 for General and Economically Weaker Sections (EWSs) category candidates. Relaxation in the upper age limit for OBC 3 years, for SC/ST 5 years and for PWD candidates 10 years.

Application Fee

Selection Process

Candidates have to essentially qualify in GATE-2020 in the relevant discipline to be eligible for shortlisting for Personal Interview (PI) & Group Discussion (GD)/ Group Task (GT) for IOCL Recruitment 2020 for Engineers (Officers) and Graduate Apprentice Engineers Posts. Candidates will be shortlisted based on marks in GATE2020 for further selection process consisting of PI and GD/GT. Short-listing will be based on the merit of the candidates from different categories. Hence, merely qualifying in the GATE-2020 examination does not guarantee to shortlist for GD/GT and Personal Interview.
