Diesel-powered four-wheelers may be banned by 2027!

Diesel-powered four-wheelers may be completely banned in India in the near future. The country is making all possible efforts to reduce the impact of rising crude oil prices and pollution and in the meantime a recommendation has been made to ban diesel-powered four-wheelers.

An oil ministry panel has recommended that India ban the use of diesel-powered four-wheelers by 2027 and switch to electric and gas-fueled vehicles in polluted cities with a population of over 1 million to reduce pollution. India is one of the largest emitters of greenhouse gases. The country aims to generate 40 percent of its electricity from renewables by 2070 to achieve its net zero target.

According to the report posted by the panel on the website of the Ministry of Oil, non-electric buses should not be added to public transport by 2030. Diesel buses should be phased out in city transport from 2024. It is not clear whether the petroleum ministry will seek cabinet approval to implement the recommendations of the energy transition advisory committee headed by former oil secretary Tarun Kapoor.

To promote the use of electric vehicles in the country, the report said the government should look at 'targeted extension' of incentives offered under the Faster Adoption and Manufacturing of Electric and Hybrid Vehicles Scheme (FAME) after March 31. Diesel accounts for about two-fifths of India's refined fuel consumption, of which 80 percent is used in the transport sector.

The panel has said that only electric vehicles should be allowed to register from 2024, and has suggested more use of railways and gas-powered trucks for cargo movement. The railway network is expected to be fully electric in two to three years. India aims to increase the share of gas in its energy mix from 6.2 percent currently to 15 percent by 2030.

The General Administration Department of the Government of Gujarat has issued an important circular according to which now the government employees will have to use the Jio number instead of the Vodafone-Idea company mobile number. Let me tell you that till now government employees were using postpaid connection of mobile numbers of Vodafone and Idea companies in Gujarat. Now the government has issued a circular that employees will have to use GO number only. In which JIO CUG plan is also available on monthly rental for 37.50.

The bills have also been asked to be reimbursed promptly.

It is stated in the circular that May. Vodafone-Idea Ltd.'s mobile phones have also been asked to take appropriate action for prompt reimbursement of bills till 31.5.2023. So that the process of MNP can be completed quickly.

There will be a charge of Rs 1.25 for international messages.

A circular has been released in Jio to take a plan of 37.50 per month according to which you will get 60 seconds of pulse rate and free calling on any mobile operator and landline and 3 thousand messages will be free. Also, there will be a charge of 50 paise for more messages and 1.25 and more for international messages there will be a charge of 1.25 rupees. Let us tell you here that to use Jio's 30 GB 5G data, employees have to pay 25 rupees and if they want to use 60 GB 5G data, they have to get a plan of 62.50 and if they want to use unlimited 5G data, they have to pay 125 per month.

Gujarat Election Live Update The first phase to elect 182 members of the 15th Gujarat Legislative Assembly concluded on December 1 and polling for the second phase will take place on December 5.

In the second phase, 833 candidates in the election field Tomorrow, voting will be held in 93 seats of 14 districts in the second phase , in which a total of 833 candidates have entered the battle of the election field. It includes 764 male and 69 female candidates. Voting will be held at 26,409 polling stations , including 8,533 urban polling stations and 17,876 rural polling stations. In the second phase, 36 thousand 439 ballot units will be used and 36 thousand 439 control units are to be used.

Taking forward its continuous efforts of building an active democratic citizenry in the country, Election Commission of India has undertaken a new initiative by designing a Mobile Application for developing a culture of avid electoral engagement and making informed and ethical ballot decisions among citizens of the country.
