Posts: Project Assistant (Level I & II)
Educational Qualification :
Project Assistant –I: B.Sc. in Chemical/Biological Sciences with 55 %;
Project Assistant –II: M.Sc. in Chemistry with 55%;
Fellowship for : PA-I / PA-II are Rs 15000/Rs 25000 (per month) as per CSIR-CSMCRI guidelines.
Age Limit : Age limit for Project Assistant at level I/II will be as 28/30 years respectively which is relaxable upto 5 years for statutory groups & Women.
Job requirements: Selected candidate will be required to work in the area of downstream processing of seaweeds/ development of new process technologies/refining/improvement of process technologies for seaweed products such as agar, agarose, carrageenan, biostimulant, etc. This project also involved physicochemical analysis of seaweed samples received from Custom Department.
CSMCRI is a national research laboratory under CSIR, which is well equipped with research facilities of international standards (website: www.csmcri.res.in). Applications are invited from highly motivated individuals for the above mentioned positions of PA-I and PA-II, to work under an In-house (MLP0027) project in the area of value addition of Indian seaweed biomass through developing simple and green/eco-friendly processes for the production of commercially important seaweed products. This project also involved physicochemical analysis of seaweed samples received from Custom Department.
Selection Process: Candidates will be selected based on an interview.
How to Apply: Interested candidates meeting the above requirements may attend the written test followed by walk-in-interview with a copy of detailed biodata, original certificates along with their attested photocopies and a passport size photograph on 5th June 2019 (Wednesday) at 9.30 A.M. at Central Salt & Marine Chemicals Research Institute, G B Marg, Bhavnagar-364002. The selection of candidates will be done by conducting a screening test followed by personal interview of the short listed candidates on the same day. No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview. In case you are employed in a Government/Semi-Government or Autonomous Organization, you should bring with you a No Objection Certificate from your present employer otherwise you will not be allowed to appear for the interview.
